We are a friendly community in Halifax where everyone is welcome.
Our community space at 253-257 Queens Road is run by and for local people. We create diverse and inclusive spaces to meet, make connections and support each other.
We have a weekly coffee morning every Tuesday 10.30-12 which you are welcome to come along to. Groups, events and community socials are held in the space. Check our calendar for the latest details.
The space is also available for local people and groups to use. You might want to get together to meet, talk, organise, celebrate, share food, create art or something else. Just get in touch to find out more.
We also act as a community-based restorative hub, a place to get support when there is a conflict or when harm has been done, and to meet for dialogue across different views.
We love to intentionally bring people from different backgrounds and cultures together for discussions and social events, finding unity in our diversity. We play, dream, create, organise and act together.In challenging times, we are determined to support each other and not let fear or scarcity divide us. We are also building capacity to respond to conflicts and polarisation that arises. There is incredible creativity, care and wisdom in our communities and we know there is strength in our diversity.
Note that this is an entirely voluntary run space. There are no paid staff and we are not a funded service.
